In 2022, the New Administrative Capital witnessed the opening of its first fully integrated commercial mall, Grand Square Mall, marking the beginning of real operational activity within the city and supporting the state’s vision to create a fully functional hub for living and business. 
Grand Square Mall was inaugurated in a strategic location serving both the Government District and the Financial District, coinciding with the relocation of government employees and ministry staff to their new headquarters. This made the mall a central destination for meeting the daily needs of the largest residential and working community in the capital at that time.
The opening represented a key milestone in activating the city’s operational movement, stimulating commercial and service activity, and paving the way for new investment opportunities in one of Egypt’s most dynamic and promising areas.

في عام 2022، شهدت العاصمة الإدارية الجديدة افتتاح أول مول تجاري متكامل وهو مول جراند سكوير، في خطوة تُعد بداية فعلية لحركة        التشغيل داخل العاصمة وتحقيقًا لرؤية الدولة في خلق مدينة متكاملة للحياة والعمل
